I get it. Layovers suck. Especially when they’re long. We sit. We wait. We wander. We buy things we don’t need at the gift shop. Sometimes we sleep. But mostly, we people watch.
My name is Ashley, and I’m a Travel Blogger here at Adventure To Anywhere. I’ve been a traveler for as long as I can remember, and as the daughter of two parents who both worked in travel and tourism, I’ve enjoyed my fair share of airport people-watching. During the week leading up to an especially long 29 hours of travel from Canada to Madagascar, I decided to start brainstorming a massive scavenger hunt of hilarious, random, inspiring and just plain weird things that can often be seen at airports. Through the help of friends and family, the Girls LOVE Travel Facebook group, and my favourite travel partner / boyfriend, I built a huge list.
The more I added to my list, the more I laughed and smiled and knew that this was something I wanted to share. As a Travel Blogger, I am always sharing my best photos. Breathtaking destinations. Unbelievable experiences. Unique landscapes. That is all good and well, but let’s be real – half the fun is getting there. I wanted to create an online community of hilarious, inspiring, cringe-worthy and relatable snapshots of the less glamorous side of travel – the layovers, the lineups, the time spent on planes and trains and everything in between. And so, Flight And Seek was born.
Download or print the scavenger hunt pages below, and see how many items you can check off on your next adventure. Play along. Have fun. Let’s keep traveling lighthearted, and find humour in all the chaos.
I promise that Flight And Seek will make your next layover a little bit less painful. Play alone, play with a friend, or play in a group. Tag your best finds with #flightandseek on Instagram, and follow @flightandseek to join the fun.
